On October 30, the Shijiazhuang Municipal Development and Reform Commission released the 2024 evaluation results for municipal enterprise technology centers. Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group ranked first among all participating municipal enterprise technology centers with a score of 95.00, earning an “Excellent” rating.
On October 30, the Shijiazhuang Municipal Development and Reform Commission released the 2024 evaluation results for municipal enterprise technology centers. Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group ranked first among all participating municipal enterprise technology centers with a score of 95.00, earning an “Excellent” rating.
According to reports, in accordance with the evaluation indicator system of the Technology Centers, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission generally conducts an evaluation of these centers every two years. The Commission commissions a third-party agency to evaluate the materials submitted by the development and reform departments of each county (city or district) in accordance with the evaluation indicator system, and to produce evaluation results and an evaluation report. The evaluation results are categorized as “Excellent,” “Qualified,” or “Unqualified”: a score of 85 or above is rated as “Excellent,” while a score between 60 and 85 (inclusive) is rated as “Qualified.”
In recent years, Guolong Pharmaceutical has pursued innovation and strived for excellence, closely aligning with industry trends and focusing on developing a portfolio of specialized, high-quality, and differentiated active pharmaceutical ingredients. The company has worked to foster a deeply integrated innovation ecosystem that brings together research, academia, industry, and end-users, while accelerating the R&D and application of advanced technologies such as continuous-flow microreactors for API production, continuous crystallization and polymorph control, and nanofiltration membrane separation. To date, Guolong has obtained 22 invention patents, participated in or helped draft 29 national standards, and established a phased innovation model characterized by “a pipeline of new products from R&D, rapid translation into commercial applications, and strategic reserves.” As a result, a steady stream of innovative specialty APIs—covering areas such as anti-infectives, volume-expanding agents, respiratory drugs, psychotropic medications, and novel therapeutics—has moved seamlessly from the laboratory to the production line. Since 2023, the company has led the province in both the number of API applications submitted and those approved, currently holding marketing authorizations for 29 specialty APIs and serving as an affiliated supplier to numerous well-known domestic formulation manufacturers. Its two flagship specialty APIs—hydroxyethyl starch and buxanerine—have been recognized as Hebei Province’s Manufacturing Single-Champion Products, and Guolong has been successively honored as a provincial specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative SME, a provincial demonstration enterprise for such characteristics, and a provincial benchmark enterprise for quality in the industrial sector. In September 2024, Guolong Pharmaceutical was designated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as a “Little Giant” enterprise specializing in niche fields, marking a further solid step forward on the path of innovative, high-quality development.
