This marks another encouraging achievement in the group’s brand-building efforts, following the recognition of the “Shimen” brand as a Well-Known Trademark.

Hebei Time-Honored Brands refer to brands (including brand names and trademarks) within the administrative boundaries of Hebei Province that boast a long history, with products, skills, or services passed down through generations, deeply rooted in Hebei’s traditional culture and rich cultural heritage, widely recognized by society, and enjoying a strong reputation.

The Group’s “Shimen” brand derives its name from the former name of Shijiazhuang, reflecting a deep historical connection with the city. Over the past 76 years since the establishment of the factory, generation after generation of employees at Sihua Pharmaceutical have remained true to their original aspiration of “producing high-quality medicines for the people.” Through unwavering commitment to quality and integrity, they have consistently strengthened the core values of the “Shimen” brand. Over time, this enduring dedication has only enhanced the brand’s appeal through both heritage and innovation, establishing it as a distinguished brand deeply rooted in the hearts of consumers. Having shed its superficial trappings, the “Shimen” brand has been honored as an Outstanding Brand and a Renowned Brand of Hebei Province, among other prestigious accolades.

The Hebei Time-Honored Brands Selection Initiative is jointly organized by the Hebei Provincial Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Provincial Administration for Market Regulation (Intellectual Property Bureau), and the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, in accordance with the relevant provisions and requirements of the “Hebei Time-Honored Brands Evaluation Standards” (DB13T5878-2023) and the “Administrative Measures for the Recognition of Hebei Time-Honored Brands,” with the aim of further expanding the ranks of Hebei’s time-honored brands and promoting their innovative development while upholding traditional values. Since the launch of the 2024 recognition process for Hebei Time-Honored Brands, following procedures that include recommendations from various cities, expert review, on-site verification, inter-departmental deliberation, and public announcement, a total of 34 brand names—including the “Shimen” brand of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical—have been included in the second batch of the Hebei Time-Honored Brands list.

It is understood that, in order to promote the innovative development of time-honored brands and fully leverage their exemplary and leading role in areas such as commercial distribution, consumption promotion, quality management, technological innovation, brand building, and cultural heritage preservation, the Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with relevant departments, has issued a series of documents in recent years, including the “Opinions on Promoting the Innovative Development of Time-Honored Brands,” which explicitly calls for “coordinated advancement of the recognition of both national-level and local-level time-honored brands and the establishment of a dynamic management mechanism.” The innovative development of time-honored brands has been designated as one of the key priorities in our province. In 2023, the Hebei Provincial Department of Commerce promulgated the “Administrative Measures for the Recognition of Time-Honored Brands in Hebei,” with the aim of cultivating a pool of projects for potential national-level time-honored brands and actively carrying out the recognition and management of Hebei’s own time-honored brands.
