Since 2024, the Yanzhao Women Craftsmen Biopharmaceutical Innovation Alliance has secured 18 provincial-level key research projects and achieved 27 project outcomes, with commercialization of these results generating RMB 144 million in sales revenue during the same period… On December 13, the Shijiazhuang Municipal Federation of Trade Unions held an event to showcase the innovative achievements of the 2024 Model Worker and Craftsman Talent Innovation Studio Alliance. Wei Saili, the inaugural rotating chair of the Yanzhao Women Craftsmen Biopharmaceutical Innovation Alliance and deputy general manager of the R&D Center at Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, joined leaders from 10 other Model Worker and Craftsman Talent Innovation Studios to share the latest breakthroughs attained over the past year through collaborative innovation and joint problem-solving, fostering mutual learning and shared progress.

Since the Shijiazhuang Municipal Federation of Trade Unions officially established the province’s first Innovation Studio Alliance in 2021, the alliance has now grown to 11 studios, covering a wide range of sectors including electronic information, artificial intelligence, biopharmaceuticals, equipment manufacturing, commerce and logistics, metallurgy and materials, energy and chemical engineering, and education and teaching. This makes it the most comprehensive, largest in number, and highest in quality innovation studio alliance in the entire province. In 2024, through joint problem-solving and technology exchange, the member studios pooled their innovative strengths, continuously delivering high-impact breakthroughs: they completed 294 innovation projects, obtained 124 patents, won 62 provincial-level awards and 19 national-level awards, and generated economic benefits totaling RMB 326 million.

At the press conference, Wei Saili used a PowerPoint presentation to share with leaders of the provincial and municipal federations of trade unions and representatives of all alliance members the achievements the Yanzhao Women Craftsmen Biopharmaceutical Innovation Alliance has attained over the past year in leveraging the “collaboration” advantage of the alliance. By harnessing collective wisdom, conducting joint research initiatives, sharing research outcomes, and co-developing talent, the alliance has adopted a problem-oriented approach to break bottlenecks, solve difficult challenges, and strengthen weak areas, thereby driving technological progress and the practical application of research results among its member organizations.

As the leading and core member of the alliance, Wei Saili Innovation Studio has closely aligned its work with national strategies and market demands. Leveraging the company’s integrated “API–formulation” development model, the studio has collaborated with other alliance members to drive collaborative innovation and overcome key challenges. Since the beginning of this year, it has secured approval for 20 new API products, thereby providing a solid foundation for ensuring high-quality supply across the company’s industrial and supply chains.

“The Innovation Alliance has connected us with a wide range of innovation resources, creating more opportunities and platforms to accelerate scientific research and innovation and to ensure the effective application and implementation of research outcomes,” said Wei Saili. She added that the Alliance will fully leverage its role as a platform for resource aggregation, striving to make greater contributions in areas such as resource integration, collaborative innovation, talent development, and industrial upgrading, thereby fostering the healthy advancement of technological innovation among all member organizations and further supporting the high-quality development of enterprises and industries.
