At the start of the new year, R&D and innovation are “accelerating.” On January 2, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group’s sodium acetate Ringer’s solution with glucose injection (500 ml) was granted a Drug Registration Certificate by the National Medical Products Administration and is deemed to have passed the consistency evaluation, making it the third domestic pharmaceutical company to receive approval for this product. To date, the Group has a total of 149 dosage forms across 113 drug varieties that have either passed or are deemed to have passed the consistency evaluation.

According to available information, sodium acetate Ringer’s solution with glucose is classified as a Category 3 chemical drug. It is primarily used for replenishing extracellular fluid and correcting metabolic acidosis in cases of reduced circulating blood volume and interstitial fluid depletion, while also providing energy. As a next-generation crystalloid solution, sodium acetate Ringer’s injection more closely resembles the composition and physicochemical properties of human plasma compared with traditional crystalloids. When employed for volume resuscitation, it can effectively maintain hemodynamic stability and electrolyte balance, rapidly correct acidosis, and stabilize the internal environment.
According to data from Meneenet, sales of sodium acetate Ringer’s solution with glucose in China’s three major distribution channels—urban public hospitals, county-level public hospitals, and township health centers—totaled RMB 581 million in 2023, with sales reaching RMB 255 million in the first half of 2024.
