On February 24, Pipecidil, submitted by Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, was approved by the National Medical Products Administration for registration as an active pharmaceutical ingredient for use in marketed dosage forms, making it the third domestic company to receive such approval. To date, the Group has secured approval for a total of 69 API varieties, with Guolong Pharmaceutical accounting for 31 of these approvals.

According to available information, piribedil is primarily used for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and circulatory disorders. The approval and launch of this active pharmaceutical ingredient will further diversify the company’s API portfolio, enhance its product supply capacity, and accelerate the development of its API business.
