Chang’e-4 made the first-ever landing on the far side of the Moon, and the Long March-5 Y3 carrier rocket was successfully launched… In his New Year message, President Xi Jinping reviewed the remarkable achievements of 2019 and commended the pioneers of the new era. Employees across the Group unanimously expressed that 2020 marks the final year in the campaign to finish building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and that in the new year they will unite as one, work hard with renewed vigor, press forward despite difficulties, and fully showcase China’s style and strength through continued striving.
As dusk descends and the cold wind bites, employees of Guangxiang Pharmaceutical, part of the Group and located in the Bohai New Area of Cangzhou, remain steadfast on the front lines. As a key project for the Group’s accelerated transformation, upgrading, and leapfrog development, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical’s API production facility obtained GMP certification last September, enabling full-scale mass production of specialty APIs such as caffeine, theophylline, and metronidazole—products that have garnered widespread attention within the industry. Gao Shuping, a member of the Group’s Board of Directors and Chairperson of Guangxiang Pharmaceutical, stated: “With Guangxiang just having commenced operations and having recently listened to President Xi’s inspiring New Year message, I, as a member of the ‘Four-Pharm’ family, am now even more confident and motivated.”

He Yazhuo, workshop director of Workshop 208 and head of the Innovation Studio, had a standout achievement in 2019: leading his team to successfully upgrade to a Provincial Model Worker and Craftsman Talent Innovation Studio. “A key word in the New Year’s message is ‘striving’—young people should make striving the defining characteristic of their youth and use this great era as an opportunity to advance and grow.”
In 2019, the Group benefited from tax and fee reductions totaling tens of millions of yuan, delivering tangible “dividends” to the enterprise. Ma Yuhong, the Group’s Chief Accountant, expressed great enthusiasm: “Today, more and more companies are able to operate with a lighter burden, and these favorable policies will further encourage enterprises to increase R&D investment and strengthen their innovation-driven momentum.”
