Just one day after the active pharmaceutical ingredient ampyrine, developed by Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.—a subsidiary of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group—was approved yesterday, on August 14, the API azilsartan developed by Guolong Pharmaceutical was likewise approved by the National Medical Products Administration and registered as an API for use in marketed dosage forms.
Following the approval yesterday of amlodipine API developed by Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical Group, just one day later, on August 14, the azilsartan API also developed by Guolong Pharmaceutical was approved by the National Medical Products Administration and registered as an API for use in marketed dosage forms.
According to available information, azilsartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) antihypertensive agent primarily used for the treatment of hypertension.
Since the approval of this product, the Group now boasts a total of 81 bulk and specialty active pharmaceutical ingredients, with Guolong Pharmaceutical accounting for 36 of them, thereby continuously expanding and refining its API portfolio.
