According to reports, this round of centralized drug procurement covers a total of 170 product varieties, including both non-exclusive and exclusive products, as well as glucose, sodium chloride, and glucose-sodium chloride injection solutions, blood products, and other categories. Led by Guangdong, the procurement initiative involves a consortium of 22 provinces and is currently one of the largest province-level joint procurement initiatives in China, aside from the national centralized drug procurement program. Participating in this round are Guangdong, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Henan, Hunan, Guangxi, Hainan, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Tibet, Shaanxi, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps—totaling 22 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government, along with relevant institutions.
A total of 167 products were selected in this round, involving 753 manufacturing companies (counted as independent entities). Among them, large-volume parenterals represent the largest category of winning bids, accounting for more than half of all product specifications included in the centralized procurement.
