With the year-end fast approaching and the company in a critical phase of sprinting to meet its annual targets, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group has once again achieved a significant milestone in research and innovation: on December 4, sodium picosulfate and bilastine, developed by Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, were approved by the National Medical Products Administration and registered as active pharmaceutical ingredients for use in marketed dosage forms. To date, Guolong Pharmaceutical holds 41 API registrations.

According to available information, sodium picosulfate is a mild laxative, and its formulations are indicated for bowel preparation prior to colonoscopy and colorectal surgery. Bilastine is a long-acting antihistamine, with formulations approved for the symptomatic treatment of urticaria in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older.
In recent years, the Group has closely aligned its efforts with industry development and market demand, leveraging high-level R&D platforms and state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities to accelerate the development of a portfolio of specialty APIs with significant market potential and high technological barriers. To date, the Group’s API portfolio comprises 90 products, which not only provides robust support for the strategic positioning of related formulation products but also further promotes the deep integration and synergistic development of an “API-plus-formulation” business model, thereby injecting a solid dual-engine impetus for the Company’s high-quality growth.
