Leaders of the Group gathered with more than twenty representatives of scientific and technical personnel from the R&D Center, Manufacturing Center, Quality and Technical Management Center, Information Management Center, and International Certification Department to discuss research innovation and jointly celebrate the Spring Festival. Attending the symposium were Group leaders Su Xuejun, Wu Hengyao, Wang Chunfa, Sun Lijie, Tian Pengmei, Liu Qingping, and others, with Shi Jianhui serving as the moderator.
At the tea-talk session, representatives of the research community spoke freely and enthusiastically, creating a lively atmosphere. Drawing on their respective areas of expertise and grounded in frontline research practice and professional insights, they engaged in spirited discussions on such topics as the Group’s strategic direction, breakthroughs in technological innovation, product quality enhancement and upgrading, the recruitment and development of high-caliber talent, and IT infrastructure development. They shared their achievements, recounted their experiences, articulated their needs, and outlined their visions and aspirations for the future—each statement imbued with sincere dedication to the cause of scientific research and earnest hopes for the enterprise’s continued growth.
Dr. Wei Saili from the R&D Center, drawing on her own research and development experience, stated: “Accelerating the transformation toward innovative drugs and high-end complex formulations is a pivotal step for the Group to achieve high-quality development—and it is also the responsibility and mission of us researchers. Moving forward, we will continue to deepen our expertise in niche areas, tackle tough challenges with determination, and devote ourselves to rigorous scientific inquiry, striving for new breakthroughs in core technologies.” Dr. Tong Qiaolin from the R&D Center shared his insights from practical innovation efforts: “We are continuously exploring process innovations and focusing on developing superior synthetic processes, which effectively reduce costs at the very source of R&D, accelerate the rapid implementation and efficient translation of innovative achievements, and better meet market demands.” Zheng Tao from the First Manufacturing Center expressed his strong anticipation for training and learning opportunities related to complex formulations: “Currently, an increasing number of the Group’s complex oral dosage forms are being successfully developed and commercialized, placing higher demands on frontline workshop staff. We hope the company will organize more systematic, relevant training programs to help employees better adapt to the new landscape of the company’s transformation and development.” Kang Lina from the Quality Technology Management Center emphasized that she will steadfastly uphold the quality baseline, strengthen technical support, and ensure product quality through stringent standards and scientific control, thereby facilitating the successful implementation and commercialization of innovative products. The heartfelt and impassioned remarks delivered by representatives of the scientific and technological community vividly exemplify the unwavering dedication and steadfast commitment of research professionals to their posts and to the painstaking pursuit of excellence. These remarks also convey a firm resolve and a strong sense of mission to align with the enterprise in purpose, direction, and rhythm, thereby injecting powerful momentum into the Group’s innovation efforts for the year ahead.
Looking back at 2025, the Group’s extensive team of researchers, guided by innovation-driven development and grounded in pragmatic execution and relentless pursuit of excellence under increased pressure, has continuously delivered groundbreaking innovations. Throughout the year, a total of 93 new product approvals were secured, including 69 dosage-form products and 24 active pharmaceutical ingredient products. To date, the cumulative number of products that have passed regulatory review has reached 168, encompassing 220 individual product specifications, thereby establishing a product portfolio characterized by seamless integration and strategic clustering. The product mix is undergoing continuous iteration and upgrading, while the deep convergence of digital technologies and industrial development is accelerating the formation of an innovative ecosystem.
After hearing remarks from representatives of the company’s science and technology personnel, Group Chairman Su Xuejun and President Wu Hengyao each delivered speeches. They emphasized that technological innovation is the core engine driving the company’s transformation and upgrading and the fundamental pillar for competing in the industry. Over the past year, the vast majority of our R&D professionals have remained firmly rooted at the front lines, dedicating themselves to tackling key challenges and laying a solid innovative foundation for the Group’s high-quality development through practical, results-oriented efforts. Looking ahead, they expressed the hope that all R&D personnel will closely align with the Group’s strategic priorities, focusing on breakthroughs in the core areas of innovative drugs and high-end, complex formulations; strengthen coordination and collaboration across all stages to accelerate the translation of innovations into real-world applications; and uphold their commitment to quality and embody the spirit of craftsmanship, thereby demonstrating the responsibility and leadership of a pharmaceutical enterprise. The Group, for its part, will continue to increase investment in research and development, refine talent management mechanisms, and optimize incentive policies, creating platforms that empower researchers to pursue their ambitions and deliver outstanding results, so that together we can build a new era of high-quality growth.
