On the eve of the Spring Festival, students from the School of Chemical Engineering at Hebei University of Technology visited Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, to participate in an immersive observation and learning program. This initiative has deepened university–enterprise collaboration and further advanced joint talent development and mutual empowerment.
On the eve of the Spring Festival, students from the School of Chemical Engineering at Hebei University of Technology visited Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, to engage in immersive observation and learning. This initiative has deepened university–enterprise collaboration and further advanced joint talent development and mutual empowerment.
In recent years, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical, recognized as a national-level green factory and a model “specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative” enterprise in Hebei Province, has focused on the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing sector. Its flagship product, caffeine, boasts industry-leading production capacity nationwide, with exports reaching more than 60 countries and regions worldwide and earning a strong reputation in international markets. In particular, driven by innovation, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical has leveraged its status as a sub-center of the enterprise technology center accredited by relevant national ministries and commissions, a national postdoctoral research workstation, and a provincial engineering research center for microreactor-based continuous synthesis of APIs, among other innovation platforms. The company has continuously deepened research collaborations with top domestic universities, jointly addressing critical bottleneck technologies in the API field and achieving remarkable results in technological innovation and green transformation. Benefiting from robust industrial strengths and a thriving innovation ecosystem, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical has become a premier internship and practical training base as well as an attractive employment hub for universities and students majoring in pharmaceutical engineering, chemical engineering, and related disciplines.
With thoughtful reflections on their academic studies and future career prospects, students of chemical engineering at Hebei University of Technology, guided by a human resources management specialist from Guangxiang Pharmaceutical, gained a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end development pathway—from foundational hands-on training and professional skill enhancement to post-graduation career advancement.
During the study and observation period, company representatives provided guidance to students on research thinking and adherence to scientific standards in the context of school–enterprise collaborative practice. Drawing on the company’s strategic shift toward high-end, specialty active pharmaceutical ingredients, they highlighted the competency requirements for roles in R&D, environmental protection, quality control, and related areas, thereby helping students clarify the direction of their future career development.
