On February 27, the Office for the Follow-up Procurement of Drugs Whose National Centralized Procurement Agreements Have Expired announced the results of the follow-up procurement (LC-YPJX-2026-1) for drugs whose national centralized procurement agreements have expired, revealing that Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. had 45 drug varieties and 55 specifications selected.
On February 27, the Office for the Renewal Procurement of Drugs Whose National Centralized Procurement Agreements Have Expired announced the results of the renewal procurement (LC-YPJX-2026-1) for such drugs, under which Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical had 45 drug varieties and 55 specifications selected.
According to reports, this round of follow-up procurement covers 316 commonly used drugs from the first through eighth batches of national centralized procurement, spanning 26 therapeutic areas including anti-infectives, oncology, glycemic control, antihypertensives, lipid-lowering agents, and treatments for the nervous, respiratory, and digestive systems. A total of 51,000 medical institutions nationwide submitted quantity requests, with 4,623 products from 1,091 domestic and international companies participating in the bidding.
This round of renewal procurement marks the first nationwide, unified renewal of a centrally organized, bulk procurement of chemical pharmaceuticals. It is jointly led by the medical insurance bureaus of Jiangsu, Henan, and Guangdong provinces, with full participation from all provinces, thereby achieving standardized and uniform procurement rules. The winning results of this centralized procurement will take effect in March 2026; the specific implementation date will be subject to official notices issued by each locality.
