Wu Hengyao, Shi Jianhui, Huang Xiaofeng, Zhang Wenya, and Liu Jing, members of the Presidium, together with 90 trade union member representatives from various workshops and departments, gathered at the event.

On March 14, the 11th Congress of Members of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was held. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the meeting thoroughly studied and implemented the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the successive plenary sessions of the 20th CPC Central Committee, comprehensively summarized the trade union’s achievements and experiences over the past five years, outlined the key tasks for the next five years, and elected a new trade union committee. The congress also aimed to organize and mobilize all employees to further emancipate their minds, strive vigorously, and work hard to accelerate the company’s high-quality development. Wu Hengyao, Shi Jianhui, Huang Xiaofeng, Zhang Wenya, and Liu Jing, members of the Presidium, together with 90 trade union member representatives from various workshops and departments, gathered to discuss major plans for the development of the trade union and to map out a bright future for the enterprise. The congress was chaired by Liu Jing.

The conference opened to the solemn strains of the National Anthem.

At the meeting, Shi Jianhui, Secretary of the Group’s Party Committee, read out the approval issued by the Trade Union of Shijiazhuang High-tech Industrial Development Zone regarding the election of the new leadership of the Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Trade Union.

Comrade Huang Xiaofeng, on behalf of the 10th Trade Union Committee of Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., delivered a work report titled “Unite Hearts and Pool Strength to Promote Development; Forge Solid Unity and Embark on a New Journey; Organize and Mobilize the Broad Mass of Employees to Strive for the Enterprise’s High-Quality Development.” The report provided a comprehensive review and summary of the trade union’s principal work over the past five years and outlined the guiding principles and priorities for the trade union’s work in the next five years.

The report notes that, looking back over the past five years, the 10th Trade Union Committee, under the strong leadership of the Group Party Committee and higher-level trade unions and with the robust support of the Group’s Board of Directors and management team, has united and rallied the broad workforce to adopt a proactive, hardworking attitude, demonstrating confidence, self-reliance, and a willingness to shoulder heavy responsibilities. Through a range of comprehensive measures and in-depth implementation in areas such as deepening democratic management, stimulating creative vitality, and fostering stable and harmonious labor relations, the Committee has provided a solid guarantee for the Group’s steady and healthy development.

Comrade Lu Hongchao, entrusted by the 10th Trade Union Committee and the Financial Audit Committee of Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., delivered to the Congress the Report on Trade Union Financial Work and the Report on the Work of the Financial Audit Committee.

Following group discussions and deliberations among the delegates, a show-of-hands vote was held, resulting in the unanimous adoption of the Work Report of the Tenth Trade Union Committee and the Work Report of the Financial Audit Committee. The delegates also discussed and approved the Election Procedures for the Congress, and deliberated on proposed lists of candidates for membership in the Eleventh Trade Union Committee, the Financial Audit Committee, and the Women Workers’ Committee, as well as proposed lists of scrutineers and vote counters.

Following a vote, the new committees of the trade union, the financial audit committee, and the women workers’ committee of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical were elected. Huang Xiaofeng, one of the newly elected committee members, delivered a statement, pledging to place the Party’s political development first, fully leverage the trade union’s role as a bridge and link, strengthen internal capacity-building and innovate working methods, and consistently serve as a trusted “family member” and “caring friend” to the workforce. He also emphasized the commitment to uniting all employees in keeping pace with the times and making new contributions to the enterprise’s healthy, high-quality development.

In his closing address at the conference, Wu Hengyao, Deputy Secretary of the Group Party Committee and President, emphasized that the 15th Five-Year Plan period represents a critical phase for the Group to accelerate its transformation and upgrading and achieve comprehensive leapfrog development. He urged the trade union organization and all employees to adopt a proactive and exemplary spirit, assume the responsibility of shouldering major tasks and making significant contributions, and thereby expedite the enterprise’s innovative, high-quality development.

Wu Hengyao emphasized that the new-term trade union must identify the right entry points, integration areas, and priority focus areas for aligning its work with the overall interests of the enterprise, thereby effectively transforming the trade union’s organizational strengths into drivers of corporate development. First, we must center our efforts on the overarching priorities and continue to deepen the reform of the industrial workforce, demonstrating renewed commitment to advancing high-quality enterprise development. Second, we must gain a profound understanding of the contemporary significance of trade union work in the new context, vigorously promote the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship, and achieve new results in building a high-caliber workforce. Third, we must accurately address the diverse needs of employees in areas such as career development, skills enhancement, and cultural life, take new steps toward fostering harmonious and stable labor relations, and ensure that trade union services are both robust and compassionate. Fourth, we must continuously strengthen our own capacity-building, constantly enhancing our leadership, organizational, and service capabilities, so that we can serve as trusted “family members” and “caring companions” for all employees. He stated that the Group Party Committee and the Group will, as always, attach great importance to and provide strong support for trade union work, upholding the principle of using Party building to lead trade union development, and offering substantial support in such areas as political safeguards, activity implementation, and infrastructure development, thus creating a vibrant situation in which Party, government, trade union, and Youth League organizations jointly assume responsibility and work in concert.

The conference concluded to the rousing strains of “Ode to the Motherland.”
