Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical’s cefdinir capsules (0.1 g) were submitted under Category 4 of the Chemical Drug Registration Classification and, upon approval, are deemed to have passed the consistency evaluation. Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical is one of only three domestic companies that have already passed the consistency evaluation for this product.
According to the introduction, cefdinir is a cephalosporin antibiotic primarily indicated for the treatment of various infections caused by strains susceptible to cefdinir, including those of the genera Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Peptostreptococcus, Propionibacterium, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Moraxella catarrhalis, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Proteus mirabilis, Providencia, and Haemophilus influenzae. Such infections include pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and acute bronchitis, among others.
