On August 25, the bupropion API submitted by Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, was approved by the National Medical Products Administration, allowing its official use in marketed pharmaceutical formulations. This makes it the first domestically approved API of this type.
