On April 6, Wang Jinshan, Secretary of the CPC Wucheng District Committee, Wu Gaiqiu, Deputy Secretary of the District Committee, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Shijiazhuang Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Director of its Administrative Committee, along with other members of the delegation, visited Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group for a research tour and held a working meeting with Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, and other senior officials.
The spring is mild and the scenery is bright, as all things burst into vigorous growth. On April 6, Wang Jinshan, Secretary of the CPC Gaocheng District Committee, Wu Gaiqiu, Deputy Secretary of the District Committee, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Shijiazhuang Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Director of its Administrative Committee, along with other members of their delegation, visited Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group for a research tour and inspection. They held a working meeting with Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, and other senior executives, engaging in in-depth exchanges on deepening cooperation in the development of the pharmaceutical industry and advancing the alignment of major infrastructure projects. Cui Yonghui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Executive Deputy Director of the Shijiazhuang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Su Xuejun, Chairman of the Board of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical, and Wu Hengyao, President of the company, also attended the meeting.
At the Group’s R&D Center, Wang Jinshan and his delegation toured the company’s instrumental analysis laboratory, physicochemical laboratory, and microbiology laboratory, and listened carefully to briefings on the company’s R&D innovation, industrial layout, and business development. Upon learning that Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group has in recent years been vigorously promoting the coordinated development of R&D and industrialization across the entire value chain—covering innovative drugs, generic drugs, specialty APIs, high-end formulations, and pharmaceutical packaging materials—and that its core business revenue and profit taxes now rank among the highest in the industry and within the province, with its specialty generics and API R&D progress and number of approvals consistently leading the sector, while innovative drug R&D is accelerating—with 20 national product approvals secured last year and nine new specialty formulations and APIs approved in the first quarter of this year—and with several high-value-added specialty API products now being manufactured at Guolong Pharmaceutical in the Economic Development Zone, Wang Jinshan highly commended the outstanding business performance achieved by Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group under the leadership of Chairman Qu Jiguang. During the meeting, Wang Jinshan and his delegation thoroughly inquired about the challenges and needs the company faces in its operations and development within the Economic Development Zone and put forward constructive suggestions.
“2022 is a pivotal year that will provide the critical support for our city’s economy to surpass RMB 1 trillion in total output and achieve leapfrog development, as well as an important year for Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group to accelerate its transformation and upgrading and realize high-quality growth,” said Qu Jiguang. He emphasized that the Group bears an inescapable responsibility for spearheading breakthroughs in the biopharmaceutical industry and building a cluster worth hundreds of billions of yuan. At present, the company’s R&D and innovation efforts have entered a harvest phase, with a wealth of innovative achievements emerging one after another, providing strong momentum for optimizing the product mix and driving quality improvement and efficiency gains. By seizing the development opportunities created by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and by speeding up the planning and construction of foundational projects, the Group will be able to vigorously propel its own transformative leap forward and move toward the high end of the industry. Qu Jiguang also expressed his gratitude to the CPC Gaocheng District Committee and District Government, as well as the Shijiazhuang Economic Development Zone, for creating a favorable business environment and ample space for the company’s construction and development.
Wang Jinshan expressed his gratitude to entrepreneurs like Qu Jiguang—individuals of great stature and a strong sense of responsibility—for their trust in and support for Gaocheng District. Focus should be squarely on the key challenges, pain points, and bottlenecks faced by market entities; efforts must be concentrated on enhancing project efficiency, upgrading industrial park capabilities, and improving the business environment, with timely coordination to resolve any difficulties that arise during project advancement. Furthermore, processes must be continuously streamlined, and specific measures to optimize the business environment—such as targeted inspections in priority areas—must be effectively implemented, so that enterprises can invest with confidence and develop with peace of mind in Gaocheng. The district should build a renowned brand for its business-friendly environment—“Invest in Gaocheng, and success is assured”—and strive to make Gaocheng’s contribution toward the city’s goal of surpassing RMB 1 trillion in economic output.
