On August 11, Peng Xuehai, Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Informatization, led a delegation to conduct an inspection and research visit to key park-based enterprises, including Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, accompanied by Ren Shiqiang, Deputy Director of the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, with the aim of deepening industrial alignment and exchanges with Hebei Province.
Peng Xuehai and his delegation visited the R&D Center of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group in the Shijiazhuang High-tech Industrial Development Zone. Wu Hengyao, President of the Group, provided a detailed briefing on the company’s research and innovation efforts, production and operations, project development, and industrial planning. Peng Xuehai commended the Group for seizing the opportunities presented by the coordinated development of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region, leveraging its industrial strengths, accelerating innovative, green, and high-quality development, and continuously striving to become stronger, larger, and better—achieving remarkable results and adopting effective practices in the process.
According to reports, during their visit to Hebei Province, Peng Xuehai and his delegation held a working symposium with relevant officials from the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. Peng Xuehai stated that in mid-July, the principal leaders of the industry and information technology authorities of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei jointly signed the “Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Jointly Building Advanced Manufacturing Clusters and Promoting Industrial Synergy” in Xiong’an. This symposium was convened to thoroughly implement the spirit of the agreement and the directives issued by the top leaders of the three regions, further consolidate the achievements of inter-regional cooperation among the industry and information technology authorities of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, and advance follow-up coordination efforts. Given that Beijing and Hebei are at different stages of development and face distinct challenges, Beijing’s economic development has now entered a critical phase of structural adjustment, requiring substantial support from Hebei in areas such as industrial supporting infrastructure and the reception and relocation of industries. It is hoped that, together with Hebei, Beijing will deepen the coordinated layout of industrial value chains, jointly explore cooperative mechanisms, and achieve complementary advantages between the two regions.
