Recently, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group announced another significant achievement in its research and development efforts: its Class 4 chemical drug, azithromycin tablets (0.25 g), has been granted a drug registration certificate by the National Medical Products Administration and is deemed to have passed the evaluation of quality and therapeutic equivalence for generic drugs.
Recently, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group announced another significant achievement in its research and development: its Class 4 chemical drug, azithromycin tablets (0.25 g), has been granted a drug registration certificate by the National Medical Products Administration and is deemed to have passed the evaluation of quality and therapeutic equivalence for generic drugs.
According to reports, azithromycin is a second-generation macrolide antibacterial agent primarily used to treat lower respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia caused by susceptible bacteria, as well as skin and soft-tissue infections, acute otitis media and sinusitis, pharyngitis, and tonsillitis—conditions that constitute upper respiratory tract infections.
In September of this year, the Group’s azithromycin dry suspension was the first domestically produced formulation to receive approval and was deemed to have passed the consistency evaluation. The recent approval of azithromycin tablets (0.25 g) will strongly promote product line expansion and diversification, optimize the product portfolio, and drive the company’s high-quality development. Since the beginning of this year, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group has obtained a total of 36 product approvals, including 27 for finished dosage forms.
