According to reports, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical’s bid for ornidazole injection (3 ml: 0.5 g; 6 mg: 1 g) secured first-place winning status thanks to its strong overall competitive advantages, entitling the company to exclusive supply in four provinces—Jiangsu, Hebei, Jiangxi, and Heilongjiang. Felodipine/Felodipine II sustained- and controlled-release tablets (5 mg) won second place, granting the company exclusive supply in five provinces and municipalities—Zhejiang, Yunnan, Chongqing, Shaanxi, and Tibet. Mecobalamin injection (1 ml: 0.5 mg) also secured second place, ensuring exclusive supply in six provinces—Zhejiang, Hunan, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, and Liaoning. Metronidazole injection (100 ml: 0.5 g; 250 ml: 1.25 g) placed third, with exclusive supply designated for three provinces—Guangxi, Hebei, and Fujian. Lastly, Argatroban injection (2 ml: 10 mg) came in fifth, securing exclusive supply in three provinces—Heilongjiang, Yunnan, and Hainan.

According to reports, the eighth round of national centralized drug procurement attracted bids for 366 products from 251 companies. A total of 252 products from 174 companies were shortlisted as winning bids, representing a selection rate of approximately 70% among participating firms. On average, 6.5 companies were selected for each product category, further enhancing supply diversity and stability. The National Healthcare Security Administration will work with relevant departments to guide local authorities and winning bidders in effectively implementing the procurement results, ensuring that patients can access the price-reduced winning products starting July 2023.
