At the launch ceremony, Yin Aidong, Deputy Director of the Hebei Provincial Health Commission, emphasized that the Hebei Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, as well as the Shijiazhuang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, attach great importance to occupational disease prevention and control. In recent years, the legal framework, institutional arrangements, and operational mechanisms for occupational disease prevention and control across the province have been further improved. All levels and departments have continuously strengthened source-control measures for occupational hazards, carried out targeted remediation campaigns on an ongoing basis, and vigorously promoted the provision of treatment and assistance for occupational diseases. As a result, occupational health conditions in workplaces have gradually improved, workers’ occupational health has steadily enhanced, and significant progress has been made in occupational disease prevention and control throughout the province.
Ren Ziping, Vice Mayor of Shijiazhuang City, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. He emphasized that all localities and relevant departments must fully recognize the importance of conducting the Public Awareness Week for the Law on Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases, strengthen organizational leadership, adhere to positive publicity that is closely aligned with the public, and, through a series of educational and awareness-raising activities, further enforce accountability for occupational disease prevention and control, disseminate knowledge about occupational health, foster a strong societal atmosphere of concern, attention, and support for occupational disease prevention and control, and safeguard the occupational health rights and interests of workers.
In recent years, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical has thoroughly implemented occupational disease prevention and control regulations, proactively assumed primary responsibility for such efforts, and intensified preventive and control measures. As a result, significant progress has been made in occupational disease prevention and control, effectively safeguarding the physical and mental health of its employees and earning recognition from both employees and higher-level supervisory authorities.
According to the introduction, the theme of this year’s Publicity Week is: “Healthy China, with Occupational Health by Our Side” ” The initiative aims to encourage all sectors of society to take proactive measures to control the incidence of occupational diseases and to promote widespread awareness of the Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Law. During this campaign, staff distributed informational materials such as plain-language handouts on occupational disease prevention and control, notification cards, and knowledge manuals; provided on-site consultations and answers to questions about occupational diseases; screened educational videos on occupational disease incidents; and delivered lectures by experts, thereby disseminating knowledge on occupational disease prevention and control to participating workers and members of the public. In addition, nearly one hundred workers exposed to occupational hazards underwent health check-ups. The event attracted extensive participation from numerous organizations and individuals, fostered a strong publicity atmosphere, and received widespread positive feedback from workers, who noted that the educational activities were rich in content and diverse in format. These efforts have helped to ensure that enterprises fulfill their primary responsibility for occupational disease prevention and control, enhanced workers’ awareness of personal protective measures, and created a favorable environment for occupational health. Across the province, similar initiatives have also been launched in recent days. “ Law on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases ” The launch ceremony of the Public Awareness Week fostered a strong societal atmosphere of concern and attention toward the prevention and control of occupational diseases.
