On July 3, Jin Nengming, Secretary of the Party Committee of China Pharmaceutical University, and Hao Haiping, President of the university, led a delegation from the university’s Party Committee Theoretical Study Center on a research visit and exchange to Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group. They were accompanied by Su Xuejun, Chairman of the Group; Shi Jianhui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive President; Sun Lijie, Executive President and General Manager of the R&D Center; and Tian Pengmei, Executive President and General Manager of the Strategic Development and Human Resources Center.
On July 3, Jin Nengming, Secretary of the Party Committee of China Pharmaceutical University, and Hao Haiping, President of the university, led a delegation from the university’s Party Committee Theoretical Study Center on a research visit and exchange to Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group. They were accompanied by Su Xuejun, Chairman of the Group; Shi Jianhui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive President; Sun Lijie, Executive President and General Manager of the R&D Center; and Tian Pengmei, Executive President and General Manager of the Strategic Development and Human Resources Center.
During the research visit, Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Group’s Board of Directors, held cordial meetings and exchanges with university leaders including Jin Nengming and Hao Haiping. Qu Jiguang extended a warm welcome to Secretary Jin Nengming and the delegation from the Party Committee Theoretical Study Center of China Pharmaceutical University for their visit, and expressed his gratitude for the university’s strong support for the enterprise’s innovative development. He emphasized that Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group and China Pharmaceutical University should seize the favorable opportunities presented by the state’s encouragement and support for innovation in the biopharmaceutical sector, continuously advance mutually beneficial cooperation to achieve new breakthroughs, and thereby better safeguard and improve public health.
Prior to the research symposium, a delegation from the Theoretical Study Center of the CPC Committee of China Pharmaceutical University conducted an on-site visit to the Group’s Pharmaceutical Research Institute and paid a courtesy call on Chinese Pharmaceutical University students undertaking internships at the company.
During the research symposium, Jin Nengming, Secretary of the Party Committee of China Pharmaceutical University, stated that at this critical juncture for deepening and advancing the thematic education campaign, the university’s Party Committee Theoretical Study Center Group conducted an in-depth inspection and research visit to Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., gaining a thorough understanding of the needs of innovative biopharmaceutical enterprises and exploring ways to align with those needs. He expressed the hope that, building on the earlier point-to-point project collaborations, the two sides would further advance comprehensive, multi-faceted cooperation, thereby promoting the integration of vocational education with industry and academia, as well as the convergence of science, education, and industry. This would help expand new, all-round, and multidimensional models of collaboration, enhance the quality of independently cultivated talent, support self-reliance and strength in pharmaceutical science and technology, and ensure the independent and controllable development of the pharmaceutical industry—collectively addressing the defining challenge of our times: “Putting the people first and life above all else by developing and producing more ‘Chinese medicines’ that are tailored to the genetic heritage and physical characteristics of the Chinese population.”
Hao Haiping, President of China Pharmaceutical University, pointed out that both universities and biopharmaceutical enterprises must study, implement, and carry forward the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks during his inspection of the Planning Exhibition Hall of the Shijiazhuang International Biopharmaceutical Park on May 12. It is essential to adhere to the “four orientations” of scientific and technological innovation, take the overall development of the national biopharmaceutical industry as the guiding principle, and deepen cooperation and integration in areas such as innovating university–enterprise collaboration models, elevating the scope of innovation, strengthening talent cultivation, and advancing industry–university–research collaboration. Efforts should be made to ensure timely and precise alignment with market needs, establish deep-level cooperative relationships in medium- and long-term planning, tiered deployment, and specialized areas of collaboration, and jointly address critical technological bottlenecks and challenges that affect the security of the biomedical industrial chain.
Su Xuejun, Chairman of the Group, provided a detailed briefing to Jin Nengming and Hao Haiping on the company’s innovative development and strategic plans, emphasizing the need to deepen strategic cooperation with China Pharmaceutical University. He stated that the Group will seize new opportunities, explore new avenues, and build new competitive advantages, leveraging concrete collaborative outcomes to drive high-quality innovation and development for both the university and the enterprise, thereby contributing to the building of a Healthy China.
Sun Lijie, Group Executive President and General Manager of the R&D Center, outlined the positive outcomes achieved through university–enterprise collaborative innovation. He stated that in recent years, Shisiyao Group has prioritized transformation and upgrading, vigorously implementing a science-and-technology-driven innovation strategy that has continuously strengthened and expanded the company’s competitive advantages in brand quality, scale, industrial-chain integration, and market competition. The Group’s sustained, long-term development is inseparable from innovation in pharmaceuticals, management, organizational structure, and corporate strategy. Given China Pharmaceutical University’s unique strengths in innovation and talent cultivation, he expressed his hope to forge closer exchanges and cooperation with the university in areas such as establishing multi-level mutual training mechanisms for talent, fostering diversified technological exchanges, and deepening industry–university–research–application integration through multiple channels.
During the symposium, the two sides engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on such topics as deepening the school–enterprise joint talent-development model, advancing collaborative technological problem-solving, exploring innovative mechanisms and institutional frameworks for school–enterprise integration, and furthering industry–academia–education cooperation.
On the morning of July 4, the Theoretical Study Center of the CPC Committee of China Pharmaceutical University, together with members of the CPC Committee of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group and secretaries of its Party branches, jointly conducted a joint study activity on the thematic education campaign on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Experts from the Shijiazhuang Municipal Party School and the Zhengding Cadre Academy were invited to deliver presentations titled “Strengthening Grassroots Party Building and Solidly Advancing Grassroots Social Governance” and “Deep Understanding Leads to Profound Love,” respectively.
