On August 14, sitagliptin, submitted by Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, was approved by the National Medical Products Administration and registered as an active pharmaceutical ingredient for use in marketed dosage forms.

According to available information, the active pharmaceutical ingredient stiripentol is primarily used to treat severe myoclonic epilepsy in infants.
In recent years, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group has actively implemented an integrated “API-plus-formulation” business strategy, increased its R&D investment, and steadily accelerated its strategic deployment in the API sector, thereby fostering synergistic development and competitive advantages across both APIs and finished dosage forms.
Previously, the group’s application for stigmasterol dry suspension (500 mg and 250 mg) received approval from the National Medical Products Administration for drug production registration in July of this year.
