Recently, the low-calcium peritoneal dialysis solution (lactate–G 2.5%) (2,000 ml, containing 2.5% glucose) developed and submitted for approval by Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group has been approved by the National Medical Products Administration, having passed the evaluation of quality and therapeutic equivalence, making it the second domestic pharmaceutical company to receive such approval.
It is reported that low-calcium peritoneal dialysis solution is primarily used in patients with chronic renal failure who, despite ineffective non-dialytic therapy, require continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis.
In August of this year, the Group’s low-calcium peritoneal dialysis solution (lactate–G1.5%, 2,000 ml, containing 1.5% glucose) became the second product in China to receive approval following the consistency evaluation. The recent approval of the low-calcium peritoneal dialysis solution (lactate–G2.5%, 2,000 ml, containing 2.5% glucose) further enriches the Group’s portfolio of peritoneal dialysis products and strengthens its competitive edge in market development. To date, the Group has a total of 56 drug varieties comprising 74 specifications that have either passed or are deemed to have passed the consistency evaluation.
