On June 21, the highly anticipated “2019 China Pharmaceutical R&D Strength Rankings” (including the Overall Ranking, Chemical Drugs Ranking, Traditional Chinese Medicine Ranking, and Biologics Ranking), along with the “Top 20 Chinese CROs of 2019,” were unveiled. Leveraging its robust capabilities in drug R&D and technological innovation, the company was ranked among the “Top 50 Chinese Pharmaceutical R&D Companies in 2019,” coming in at No. 46. According to reports, this ranking initiative is jointly organized by Yaozhi Network, Xinhua Health Think Tank, Southwest University, Chongqing Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chongqing Municipal Medical Insurance Research Association, and other institutions. The rankings are determined by a weighted calculation based on pharmaceutical companies’ 2018 drug approval application and approval data, their 2018 R&D investment, the “Notice from the General Office of the National Development and Reform Commission on the Release of the 2018–2019 Evaluation Results for National Enterprise Technology Centers,” as well as brand performance metrics.
