【SUMMARY】 As snowflakes dance in the air, a new wave of innovation unfolds. On December 13, the inaugural meeting of the Yanzhao Women Craftsmen Biopharmaceutical Innovation Alliance was held in the auditorium of the R&D Center of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group. More than 130 representatives, including leaders from the Shijiazhuang Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the Municipal Women’s Federation, and Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, as well as representatives from member enterprises of the alliance, attended the meeting.

Snowflakes dance in a flurry, heralding a new era of innovation. On December 13, the inaugural meeting of the Yanzhao Women Craftsmen Biopharmaceutical Innovation Alliance was held in the auditorium of the R&D Center of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group. More than 130 representatives from the Shijiazhuang Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the Municipal Women’s Federation, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, and member enterprises of the Alliance attended the meeting.

According to reports, the Yanzhao Women Craftsmen Biopharmaceutical Innovation Alliance was established to build on the practical experience of women model workers’ and craftsmen’s innovation studios and R&D teams in Shijiazhuang’s biopharmaceutical industry, harness the active role of female craftsmen and women researchers in biopharmaceutical R&D, production, and application, and create a platform for exchanging ideas and fostering talent in scientific and technological innovation among female employees. Currently, the alliance comprises the R&D team led by Wei Saili at Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, the Pharmaceutical Research Institute of Shijiazhuang Yiling Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., the Zhao Huanrong Innovation Studio at Hebei Changshan Biochemical Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., the Yang Yunfang Innovation Studio at Sinopharm Le Rentang Shijiazhuang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., the Li Ling’e Famous Doctors Studio at Shijiazhuang Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the School of Pharmacy at Hebei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Wei Saili serves as the inaugural rotating chair of the Yanzhao Women Craftsmen Biopharmaceutical Innovation Alliance.

At the alliance’s inaugural ceremony, member organizations signed the “Yanzhao Women Craftsmen Biopharmaceutical Innovation Alliance Cooperation Agreement.” Wu Lijuan, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chair of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, Wang Xiaodi, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chair of the Municipal Women’s Federation, and Shi Jianhui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive President of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, presented plaques to the member organizations of the Yanzhao Women Craftsmen Biopharmaceutical Innovation Alliance.

Wei Saili, the rotating chair of the Alliance, delivered a statement. She stated that the establishment of the Alliance has provided a new platform for R&D teams and innovation studios to enhance communication and leverage each other’s strengths while addressing weaknesses. With the care and support of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions and various government departments, the Alliance will stay focused on its goals, press ahead under greater pressure, further strengthen diversified cooperation, and accelerate scientific research in such fields as specialty APIs, traditional Chinese medicine, vaccines, novel dosage forms, and innovative drugs. The Alliance will concentrate on achieving breakthroughs in a number of critical core technologies, resolving bottlenecks in the new-drug development process, and demonstrating the “women’s commitment” through unwavering dedication to its original mission.

Tian Zhi, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Executive Vice Chairman of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, extended congratulations on behalf of the Federation on the establishment of the Yanzhao Women Craftsmen Biopharmaceutical Innovation Alliance. He expressed the hope that all members of the alliance would take this as an opportunity to seize new prospects and make full use of the new platform, blaze new trails in tackling key technological challenges, achieve new accomplishments, and jointly accelerate the development of the city’s biopharmaceutical industry, thereby propelling it to new heights through innovation, translation of research into applications, and leapfrog growth. He emphasized three key points: First, we must ground ourselves in the new stage of development and elevate our collaboration to a higher level of innovation and integration. To this end, we should fully integrate the alliance’s industry resources to foster brainstorming, conduct thorough assessments, and offer constructive advice for the development of our city’s biopharmaceutical sector, thus exploring and establishing an innovative path for the industrialization of biopharmaceuticals that places enterprises at the core while ensuring the full integration of resources from all stakeholders. Second, we must implement the new development philosophy and build substantial momentum through resource aggregation. This entails strengthening cooperation and exchanges, summarizing and disseminating best practices in production, operations, and technological development, integrating and optimizing resources, launching collaborative efforts to tackle critical technologies, achieving complementary advantages, and fostering collective growth. Third, we must forge a new development paradigm and intensify our efforts in technological innovation. In addressing the bottlenecks, challenges, and “chokepoint” issues hindering technological innovation in the biopharmaceutical industry, we should step up original and pioneering R&D, actively explore ways to transform collaborative “addition” into synergistic “multiplication,” and chart a path of integrated innovation and development that is uniquely characteristic of Shijiazhuang’s biopharmaceutical sector.

The Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the Municipal Women’s Federation, relevant industry trade unions, the High-tech Industrial Development Zone, the Zhengding County Federation of Trade Unions, and members of the Science and Technology Innovation Alliance attended the conference.
