In recent years, the National Intellectual Property Administration has supported the development of a pilot platform for the registration and recognition of patent-intensive products at the national level, guided the formulation of the industry standard “Evaluation Method for Patent-Intensive Products of Enterprises,” organized enterprises across the country to carry out the registration of patent-based products, and, by sector, identified a batch of patent-intensive products that demonstrate strong economic benefits and make significant contributions to patent value.
According to reports, “patent-intensive products” primarily refer to products that hold multiple high-quality patents, rely heavily on patent protection in market competition, and enjoy strong competitive advantages—serving as a crucial bridge between the patent ecosystem and the marketplace. In October 2023, the General Office of the State Council issued the “Special Action Plan for the Commercialization and Application of Patents (2023–2025),” with “cultivating and promoting patent-intensive products” identified as a key component. In the first batch of officially recognized patent-intensive products, Shijiazhuang City had 26 products from 12 enterprises—including Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.—selected, ranking first in the province and accounting for 36% of the total.
