On May 28, the sodium bicarbonate injection (50 mL: 4.2 g) developed by Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group passed the National Medical Products Administration’s evaluation of quality and therapeutic equivalence for generic drugs.

On May 28, the sodium bicarbonate injection (50 mL: 4.2 g) developed by Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group passed the National Medical Products Administration’s evaluation of quality and therapeutic equivalence for generic drugs.
According to available information, sodium bicarbonate injection is an antacid primarily used for the treatment of metabolic acidosis, urinary alkalinization, and, when administered by intravenous infusion, exhibits nonspecific therapeutic effects in cases of certain drug poisonings.
The approval of this sodium bicarbonate injection (50 mL: 4.2 g) further expands the Group’s portfolio of sodium bicarbonate injection products. Previously, in February 2024, the National Pilot Platform for the Filing and Recognition of Patent-Intensive Products released the first list of such products, and Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group’s sodium bicarbonate injection was successfully included.
Rooted in a fertile ground for innovation, the group has reaped abundant rewards. To date, it has secured a total of 34 approvals for new products and has had 114 product specifications across 84 varieties either approved or deemed to have passed the consistency evaluation, placing its R&D efficiency among the leading ranks in the national industry.
