On June 27, epinephrine developed by Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group and betahistine mesylate developed by Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical were both approved by the National Medical Products Administration on the same day and registered as active pharmaceutical ingredients for use in marketed dosage forms. Since the beginning of this year, the group has secured approval for 13 new specialty API products.

Since the beginning of this year, the group has secured approval for 13 new specialty API products.
According to available information, epinephrine is used to treat allergic reactions and hypotension associated with septic shock; the Group’s related active pharmaceutical ingredient, norepinephrine bitartrate, was registered in February of this year as an API for use in marketed dosage forms. Betahistine mesylate is a vasodilatory drug primarily indicated for the treatment of conditions such as Meniere’s disease, Meniere’s syndrome, and vertigo and dizziness associated with vestibular disorders.
In recent years, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group has aligned its strategies with the needs of the pharmaceutical industry chain and vigorously promoted integrated development of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and finished dosage forms, accelerating the R&D and commercialization of specialty APIs.
