On November 22, the Glycerol-Fructose-Sodium Chloride Injection (250 mL) submitted by Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group received the “Notice of Approval for Supplementary Drug Application” issued by the National Medical Products Administration, signifying that the product has passed the evaluation of quality and therapeutic equivalence for generic drugs.

According to reports, Glycerol-Fructose-Sodium Chloride Injection is primarily indicated for acute and chronic intracranial hypertension and cerebral edema resulting from cerebrovascular diseases, traumatic brain injury, brain tumors, intracranial inflammation, and other etiologies. This product is classified as a Category A item under the National Medical Insurance Scheme and a National Essential Medicine, and it has been included in the ninth round of the National Centralized Drug Procurement Catalogue.
According to channel data from MeneNet (covering urban public hospitals, county-level public hospitals, urban community hospitals, and township health centers), the domestic sales of glycerol-fructose-sodium chloride injection totaled RMB 989 million in 2021, RMB 684 million in 2022, and RMB 917 million in 2023.
