On November 25, the supplemental application for alpha-lipoic acid injection (12 ml: 0.3 g) submitted by Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group was approved by the National Medical Products Administration, which is deemed to have passed the consistency evaluation. This new specification builds on the Group’s previously approved alpha-lipoic acid injection (24 ml: 0.6 g).

According to reports, lipoic acid injection is primarily indicated for the treatment of sensory abnormalities caused by diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Data from the MeneNet database show that sales of lipoic acid injection in public hospitals nationwide reached RMB 521 million in 2023.
