Recently, Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group was included in the first batch of Shijiazhuang’s “Digital Intelligence” Benchmark (Little Lighthouse) Enterprises for the Digital Transformation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.
Recently, Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group was selected as one of the first batch of “Digital Intelligence” benchmark (Little Lighthouse) enterprises for the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in Shijiazhuang City.
In recent years, Guolong Pharmaceutical has actively pursued digital transformation through exploration and practical implementation, steadily accelerating the automation, informatization, and intelligentization of its production processes. By leveraging innovations in smart manufacturing technologies, the company has achieved seamless integration and interoperability among information systems for manufacturing execution, supply chain management, and enterprise management, thereby effectively optimizing production workflows, reducing costs, enhancing lean management practices, and boosting both production efficiency and product quality.
“Drawing on the unique process characteristics inherent in API manufacturing, our company has explored the development of a data analytics platform (BI system) and the upgrade of its distributed control system (DCS), achieving seamless integration with human-machine interfaces and database systems. This enables greater intelligence and efficiency across all production stages and overall operations,” said a representative from Guolong Pharmaceutical. “Grounded in industry trends and our own corporate development, we will leverage digital transformation as a key enabler to continuously drive green transformation, high-quality growth, and robust supply-chain integration. By accelerating the development of new, high-quality productive forces, we aim to propel the company toward a new leap forward—moving toward ‘new,’ ‘high,’ and ‘green’ development.”
According to available information, since Shijiazhuang was selected in 2023 as one of the first 30 pilot cities nationwide for the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, the city has focused on four specialized sectors—biopharmaceuticals, next-generation information electronics, advanced specialized equipment, and modern food—and prioritized large-scale enterprises while also engaging smaller, specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative (including innovation-driven) SMEs. Over a two-year period, digital transformation initiatives were implemented across 605 pilot enterprises, resulting in more than 94% of large-scale enterprises achieving Level 2 or higher digitalization. The number of small-scale enterprises attaining Level 2 digitalization also increased significantly. Additionally, eight exemplary “chain-based” transformation cases were developed, 20 smart factories (digital workshops) were built, 30 benchmark “small lighthouse” enterprises were cultivated, and 350 pilot enterprises were encouraged to adopt cloud services. By establishing these benchmarks and model examples, the city has created notable demonstration highlights.
