“Bosheng Medical Materials Embarks on a Global Expansion Strategy” and “Shisi Pharmaceutical Group’s Bosheng Medical Materials Achieves China’s First Export of 12,000 Meters of Intravenous Infusion Tubing”—on the morning of December 31, within the eastern factory area of Jiangsu Bosheng Medical New Materials Co., Ltd., a red banner hanging from a container truck stood out vividly in the sunlight. Pallets upon pallets of meticulously packaged intravenous infusion tubing bearing the Bosheng Medical Materials logo were being loaded onto the vehicle, soon to cross borders and enter overseas markets.
“To ensure the successful completion of the inaugural export shipment, the company has meticulously planned and rigorously coordinated every stage, from production to delivery,” said the head of Bosheng Medical Devices, who was on-site overseeing operations. “From the selection of raw materials and stringent oversight of each production step to final product inspection, we have rigorously implemented quality assurance measures to guarantee that our export products can stand up to the scrutiny of international markets.”
“This marks the first-ever export of our infusion tubing products, a milestone of great significance for Bosheng Medical Devices,” said the company’s head. Infusion tubing is another key new product developed following clean-free rubber stoppers, plunger cores for pen-type injectors, insulin pads, coated rubber stoppers, and blood-collection-device rubber stoppers. The successful bulk export of infusion tubing will further accelerate the establishment of an integrated “three-pronged” business model encompassing rubber stoppers, membrane materials, and tubing.
In recent years, Bosheng Medical Materials has focused on the R&D and manufacturing of novel pharmaceutical packaging materials, continuously advancing new-product development and technological upgrades while steadfastly implementing an innovation-driven development strategy and enhancing its capacity for original innovation. In particular, with regard to product innovation, the company has adhered to a R&D approach centered on “expanding product variety, elevating performance levels, and strengthening quality and efficiency,” vigorously reinforcing fundamental, innovative, and forward-looking research on rubber stoppers, film materials, tubing, and cutting-edge medical packaging materials. It has maintained deep engagement in the high-precision, high-end medical packaging sector, relentlessly explored frontier technologies in pharmaceutical packaging, and strived to establish itself as a leading hub of innovation. As one of the key R&D projects undertaken by the Bosheng Packaging Materials Research Institute since its establishment, the infusion tubing underwent nearly a year of refinement and validation before successfully obtaining registration with the Center for Drug Evaluation of the National Medical Products Administration in September 2024, thereby laying a solid foundation for capturing opportunities in both domestic and international markets.
The head of Bosheng Medical Devices stated, “We will take this as an opportunity to steadfastly advance our overseas expansion strategy, continuously increase R&D investment, enhance our product innovation capabilities, and steadily strengthen the company’s international competitiveness, so that more ‘Made in China’ pharmaceutical packaging materials can go global and contribute to the internationalization of China’s pharmaceutical packaging materials industry.”
