Spring awakens all things, ushering in a new chapter for the four seasons.
On the first working day of the New Year, the Research Institute of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group—a leading enterprise in Shijiazhuang’s biopharmaceutical industry—was alive with a vibrant scientific and technological atmosphere and a strong culture of innovation. More than 500 R&D professionals, driven by their dreams and eager to forge a new future, arrived at their posts early and threw themselves into research and innovation with relentless energy.
Over the past two years, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group has focused on “newness,” committing itself to researching, developing, and manufacturing more “Chinese medicines” that are tailored to the genetic heritage and physical characteristics of the Chinese population. Leveraging supportive policies for enterprises such as Shijiazhuang’s “15 New Talent Policies,” the company has actively established innovation consortia with renowned universities and research institutes, including China Pharmaceutical University, Lanzhou University, and Hebei Medical University. Centered on areas such as antiviral agents, antibacterial drugs, anticancer therapies, the nervous system, cardiovascular health, gastroenterology, and anesthesia, the group has implemented an integrated “API–formulation” innovation strategy and technological upgrades, creating multi-disciplinary innovation ecosystems spanning innovative drugs, high-end generic drugs, and specialty APIs. As a result, its pool of innovative achievements has steadily grown, with breakthroughs emerging in a cascading, chain-like manner, driving momentum across the board and enriching its pipeline of new products.
In 2024, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group received approval for a total of 82 new products. To date, the company has cumulatively passed (or been deemed to have passed) the consistency evaluation for 115 drug varieties encompassing 153 dosage forms, placing it among the industry leaders in both the number of R&D applications submitted and approvals obtained, thereby providing robust momentum for accelerating the company’s advanced development. In January of this year, the group secured approval for six new formulations and active pharmaceutical ingredients, marking a strong start to the year in research and development.
