On December 3, Sun Dong, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Hebei Vocational College of Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Technology, led a delegation to Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group for a visit and exchange aimed at deepening university–enterprise cooperation and advancing the “visiting enterprises to expand job opportunities and promote employment” initiative. Vice President Sun Dong and his delegation conducted a field visit to the Group’s Pharmaceutical Research Institute and listened carefully to a briefing on the Group’s achievements in recent years in areas such as technological innovation, market development, digital and intelligent transformation, talent cultivation, and future prospects. They highly commended the significant results the company has attained by staying firmly focused on the core mission of high-quality development, continuously advancing transformation and upgrading, and achieving leapfrog growth.
During the symposium, Tian Pengmei extended a warm welcome to Vice President Sun Dong and his delegation. She noted that Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has maintained a strong cooperative relationship with Hebei Vocational College of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technology. The college, grounded in the development of the pharmaceutical industry, has cultivated a large pool of skilled professionals who have become the backbone of sustainable enterprise and industrial growth. She expressed the hope that both parties will continue to deepen their collaboration, actively explore new mechanisms for integrating industry and education in the cultivation of skilled talent, and work together to promote broader and more in-depth cooperation, thereby leveraging education to drive industry and using industry to support education. In this way, they can further strengthen and enhance the effectiveness of their partnership, achieving win-win outcomes for students, the institution, enterprises, and society at large.
Vice Dean Sun Dong provided an overview of the college’s development, highlighting its program offerings, talent-development initiatives, and contributions to the province’s chemical and pharmaceutical industries. He stated that this visit to enterprises for job-expansion and exchange would serve as a catalyst for fully leveraging the strengths of both parties, fostering resource sharing and complementary advantages in areas such as skills-training and employment, as well as the establishment of internship and practice bases. In light of the urgent need for the pharmaceutical industry to accelerate its digital and intelligent transformation, he emphasized the importance of strengthening curriculum design for “micro-specializations” and expediting the development of “on-site enterprise workstations.” These efforts aim to achieve deep integration among the institutions’ academic programs, industrial value chains, and talent pipelines, thereby cultivating more high-caliber skilled professionals to support the high-quality development of pharmaceutical enterprises and the province’s biopharmaceutical sector.
According to reports, Hebei Vocational College of Chemical Engineering and Pharmacy is a national model key higher vocational college and the only public higher vocational institution in Hebei Province with a distinctive focus on chemical engineering and pharmaceuticals, currently enrolling nearly 17,000 students.
