On December 10, Shijiazhuang Customs awarded the Advanced Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Certificate to Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, making it the only pharmaceutical company in the province to obtain AEO certification this year. This milestone signifies that Guangxiang Pharmaceutical has officially been recognized as an enterprise with the highest credit rating under customs supervision.
On December 10, Shijiazhuang Customs awarded the Advanced Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Certificate to Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, making it the only pharmaceutical company in the province to obtain AEO certification this year. This milestone signifies that Guangxiang Pharmaceutical has officially joined the ranks of customs’ highest-credit-rated enterprises.
According to available information, AEO—Authorized Economic Operator—is a trade security and facilitation framework promoted by the World Customs Organization. As the highest level of customs credit rating awarded to enterprises, the AEO Advanced Certification is often referred to as a “green pass” for global international trade. Customs authorities certify enterprises that demonstrate high compliance with laws and regulations, strong creditworthiness, and robust security standards, enabling them to enjoy streamlined procedures and preferential treatment both domestically and internationally. Through AEO mutual recognition agreements, exports from AEO-certified enterprises in China to partner countries or regions can benefit from expedited customs clearance by the counterpart customs authorities, thereby reducing trade costs.
As one of China’s leading enterprises in the R&D, production, and export of chemical APIs, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical has, in recent years, closely aligned its efforts with evolving domestic and international market demands by continuously tackling challenges in quality enhancement and green manufacturing. “As overseas markets continue to expand, businesses and their customers are placing ever-higher demands on customs clearance efficiency and logistics timeliness, making the application for AEO Advanced Certification increasingly urgent,” said Zhu Shujie. He added that, throughout the credit-building and certification process, Shijiazhuang Customs provided comprehensive guidance and support, helping the company successfully obtain the Customs AEO Advanced Certification. This not only broadened the company’s network of international trade partners but also accelerated its pace of global operations, facilitating a transition from “product export” to “brand export” and further bolstering its confidence in expanding abroad.
In the increasingly competitive global marketplace, the Customs AEO Advanced Certification has become a “golden brand” for foreign trade. “By combining this certification with preferential measures such as advance customs declaration and priority processing, enterprises have seen a substantial reduction in customs clearance waiting times and an estimated decrease in logistics costs of nearly 10%, thereby gaining a strong competitive edge in expanding overseas,” said Zhu Shujie.
