On December 9, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical’s Class 4 chemical drug—levofloxacin ophthalmic solution 0.488% (5 mL: 24.4 mg)—was approved and deemed to have passed the bioequivalence evaluation for generic drugs, thereby successfully catching the “last train” of the extended data-reporting period for the national centralized procurement renewal alliance. To date, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical has a total of 47 products included in the lists of renewal candidates for the first through eighth rounds of national centralized drug procurement.
On December 9, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical’s Class 4 chemical drug—levofloxacin ophthalmic solution 0.488% (5 mL: 24.4 mg)—was approved and deemed to have passed the bioequivalence evaluation for generic drugs, thereby successfully catching the “last train” of the extended information-reporting period for the national centralized procurement alliance’s follow-up procurement initiative. To date, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical has a total of 47 products included in the lists of follow-up drugs under the first through eighth rounds of national centralized procurement.
The renewal process for the first eight rounds of national centralized drug procurement was launched in November 2025, adopting a nationwide unified renewal model that covers the 316 drug varieties included in the first eight rounds of national procurement (excluding the insulin-specific program). The initiative is led by the Medical Security Bureaus of Jiangsu Province, Henan Province, and Guangdong Province, in collaboration with the medical security bureaus of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, to form a national alliance for the renewal of centralized drug procurement. The procurement period will be extended through the end of 2028.
In recent years, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical has regarded innovation as the key driver for enhancing drug accessibility. By pursuing integrated development across both active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished dosage forms, the company has continuously refined its product portfolio and expanded both the breadth and depth of its market coverage. To date, a total of 163 drug varieties comprising 214 specifications have either passed or been deemed to have passed the consistency evaluation, laying a solid foundation for active participation in national and local centralized procurement initiatives, thereby strengthening its existing market position while opening up new growth opportunities. The recently approved levofloxacin ophthalmic solution successfully made it onto the “last-minute” list for reporting information in the follow-up round of the national centralized procurement, bringing the company’s total number of products included in the national procurement program to 47.
