On the afternoon of January 30, Hebei Provincial Vice Governor Xia Yanjun conducted inspections at industrial and commercial enterprises such as Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical and Beiguo Supermarket to assess the implementation of measures related to market supply and regulation in the context of epidemic prevention and control. She emphasized the need to earnestly implement the decisions and arrangements made by the provincial Party Committee and the provincial government, elevate political awareness, strengthen operational measures, make every effort to ensure an adequate supply of medicines and daily necessities, enhance the production, stockpiling, and distribution of epidemic-control supplies, and resolutely win the battle against the epidemic.
In accordance with the arrangements and deployments of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, enterprises such as Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical have ramped up production, while retailers like Beiguo Supermarket and Shenwei Pharmacy have actively procured supplies. As a result, market supply has returned to normal, protective supplies are being steadily stocked on shelves at reasonable prices, and airport customs authorities have provided proactive “green clearance” services to ensure smooth customs procedures, thereby making positive contributions to epidemic prevention and control.
Xia Yanjun conducted on-site inspections at Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical and other industrial and commercial enterprises to examine the production of epidemic-prevention medicines, the expedited customs clearance of imported epidemic-control supplies, and other related matters. He also obtained detailed information on the supply and pricing of essential daily necessities, masks, disinfectants, and other protective items, and convened an on-site meeting of the Market Supply and Supervision Task Force to make specific arrangements for further improving relevant work.
Xia Yanjun pointed out that all relevant departments at every level and all enterprises must do everything possible to secure supply sources, strengthen reserves, and expand production, in order to fully guarantee the supply of essential materials. It is necessary to organize matching between production and sales to ensure the normal supply of vegetables and other daily necessities, and to severely crack down on price gouging. Efforts should be made to integrate overseas resources, increase procurement efforts, keep “green channels” open and unimpeded, and expedite customs clearance for imported epidemic prevention supplies. Furthermore, support services must be strengthened, approval procedures for epidemic prevention drugs and equipment should be streamlined, and enterprises engaged in pharmaceutical production and related activities should be supported in expanding output, so as to maximize assurance of emergency needs.
