On February 23, the Medical Supplies Guarantee Group of the State Council Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism for the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic issued a second emergency task dispatch order to Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., requiring the phased delivery of 100,000 boxes—totaling 1.2 million capsules—of arbidol hydrochloride capsules to Hubei Province by March 8.

Upon learning of the “national mission,” Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Board of Shisi Pharmaceutical Group, once again stated that the company will deliver the relevant pharmaceutical products on time and in full compliance with the requirements set forth in the task assignment.

At 6:00 p.m. on February 19, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. received, for the first time, an “Urgent Task Dispatch Order” from the Medical Supplies Guarantee Group of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism under the State Council for Responding to the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic, requiring the company to overcome all difficulties and deliver, in batches, 50,000 boxes containing a total of 600,000 capsules of Arbidol Hydrochloride to Hubei Province by February 26.

▲On February 19, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. expedited the shipment of arbidol hydrochloride capsules to Hubei Province.

Sales, finance, warehousing, transportation, and other departments coordinated closely and responded swiftly to complete the outbound shipping procedures in a timely manner. A large truck tasked with delivering 600,000 capsules of Arbidol Hydrochloride set out from Shijiazhuang at 4:00 p.m. on February 20 and traveled through the night without rest. Early on February 21, it arrived at the warehouse of Sinopharm Holdings Hubei Co., Ltd. in Wuhan. From the moment Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical received the mission order to the delivery of the emergency medication, less than 39 hours had elapsed.

“Providing support to Hubei is the responsibility that our pharmaceutical company must fulfill. We must respond urgently to the needs of Hubei and the nation, and deliver this batch of medicines to Hubei at the earliest possible moment. At present, we have already prepared a second batch of inventory for this mission; once the products pass inspection, they will be dispatched immediately,” said Qu Jiguang.

Abidor Hydrochloride Capsules are the flagship antiviral product of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical. Since the onset of the pandemic, a total of 2.48 million capsules have been dispatched to Hubei Province to support epidemic control efforts, with 2.09 million of those sent to Wuhan.
