“This year’s spring recruitment fair for college graduates was canceled due to the pandemic; however, enterprises’ demand for talent to drive innovation and development has not diminished. At present, areas such as innovative drug research and the evaluation of quality and therapeutic equivalence for generic drugs all require a steady influx of qualified personnel. Time is of the essence, so after the Spring Festival we proactively reached out to several domestic universities, using multimedia posters and online consultation services. We were invited to participate in multiple online job fairs hosted by China Pharmaceutical University, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, Hebei University of Technology, Hebei University of Science and Technology, and other institutions, where we tentatively secured employment intentions with more than ten recent PhD and master’s graduates. Overall, we are quite satisfied with the results,” said Wang Chunfa. He added that they will strengthen their communication with students and, once the pandemic subsides, promptly organize interviews and medical examinations.

Stepping into the No. 102 Oral Dosage Form Workshop of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical, one is immediately struck by its renowned production of the antiviral drug arbidol hydrochloride capsules. Shijiazhuang Sihua is one of only five pharmaceutical companies in China authorized to manufacture arbidol formulations, and this product has played a vital role on the front lines of epidemic prevention and control. Since January 24—the eve of the Lunar New Year—workshop staff have been working around the clock to produce urgently needed arbidol hydrochloride capsules, as well as traditional Chinese medicine products such as Yiqing Granules, Qingre Jiedu Oral Liquid, and Yinhuang Capsules. According to Rong Yanyan, the workshop director, new changes have now been introduced to production: after several days of renovation and optimization, the workshop has fine-tuned its production molds and line speeds, shifting from a “mass manpower” approach to one powered by technology, resulting in a 20% increase in production efficiency. Since the onset of the pandemic, the workshop has shipped a cumulative total of 3.962 million arbidol hydrochloride capsules to Hubei Province.

“We’re pursuing a dual-track strategy, with unwavering focus on export sales.” At Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical’s 203 and 204 infusion production workshops, employees are working flat-out to fulfill export orders for 100ml and 500ml infusion products. “Our export order book is brimming, and all orders are being executed as scheduled,” said Li Bo, Manager of the company’s Foreign Trade Department. “In February, our exports of infusion products increased by 17.6% year on year.”
In front of the Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Integrated Logistics Center, more than ten freight trucks are lined up in a row, with forklifts shuttling back and forth as products are being loaded in an orderly and efficient manner. At present, the daily outbound volume of intravenous solutions at Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical has returned to its normal level. “While ensuring supply to frontline epidemic-control efforts, our sales team has proactively served the market, and all business operations are now fully normalized and running smoothly,” said Wu Hengyao, General Manager of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical.
“As market demand continues to grow and logistics channels become increasingly efficient, we are working hard to stay ahead of the curve and accelerate sales, ensuring that our operations reach a new high,” Wu Hengyao said with full confidence.
