Faced with the sudden onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic, in recent days, the vast majority of medical workers in our province have stepped forward without hesitation, fighting day and night. Heart-wrenching tales of heroism and inspiring hymns to the value of life have deeply moved and inspired Party members and employees at Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical, making dedication and selfless service in the fight against the epidemic the shared aspiration of all its staff.
On February 27, in support of COVID-19 prevention and control efforts, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. issued a donation appeal to all Party members and employees, which was met with an enthusiastic response from the vast majority of Party members and employees.
On the morning of March 7, the Hebei Provincial Red Cross Society accepted targeted donations from employees of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., earmarked for the epidemic prevention and control efforts of the Hebei medical team assisting Hubei and the designated hospitals in the provincial capital that are treating COVID-19 patients.
“When the Party calls, we act.” Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Board of Shisiyao Group, promptly conveyed to the company’s Party Committee the donation wish of a veteran Party member. Coincidentally, that very day happened to be the birthday of Wu Yuqing, a newly appointed publicity officer in the Party and Mass Work Department; treating herself to a bowl of instant noodles as a way to mark the occasion, she donated every penny she had saved from her meal allowance. Han Huijuan, packaging team leader in the oral dosage-forms workshop, is expecting her second child and both she and her husband are employed at the company. Despite the many financial demands they currently face, they have nonetheless actively contributed to the donation drive within their respective workshops, with Han Huijuan saying: “Medical workers risk their lives to save patients—some even lay down their own lives in the line of duty. What does a small donation from us really amount to?”... At Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical, these small acts of kindness are coming together to form a powerful wave of warmth among the workforce.
▲ Recently, Li Xianying (second from right), a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Wucheng District Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Shijiazhuang Economic and Technological Development Zone, accepted donations on behalf of the higher-level Party organization from all Party members of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical, to support COVID-19 prevention and control efforts.
In just a few days, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. received donations totaling RMB 244,097.66 from Party members and employees, of which RMB 24,910 donated by Party members was promptly remitted to the higher-level Party organization.
In recent days, the broad workforce at Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical has channeled the enthusiasm and drive sparked by the fight against the epidemic into both epidemic prevention and control efforts and innovative development. All production lines have been fully operational, with output and sales swiftly returning to pre-pandemic levels, as employees confidently strive for a strong start to the first quarter.
It is also understood that Shisi Pharmaceutical has already donated emergency relief medicines worth RMB 2.57 million to Wuhan in Hubei Province, the Shennongjia Forestry District, and other areas.
