On the morning of March 13, Wang Fengchen, Editor-in-Chief of Economic Reporting at China Business News, visited Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to conduct an interview on the production of epidemic-prevention medicines and the company’s resumption of work and production. Shi Jianhui, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical, and Wang Chunfa, Deputy General Manager, attended the interview.

During the interview, Shi Jianhui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the company, outlined Shisi Pharmaceutical’s measures for COVID-19 prevention and control, its efforts to ensure the production and stockpiling of essential medicines and supplies, and its progress in resuming work and production. Shi Jianhui stated that since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Shisi Pharmaceutical has called on all employees to firmly align their thinking and actions with the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the deployment requirements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, placing the safety and health of the people first. In accordance with the work arrangements of the provincial and municipal Party committees and governments, the company has steadfastly shouldered its responsibility for epidemic prevention and control, ensured the production of essential medicines for prevention and treatment, and committed itself to winning the people’s war, the overall battle, and the decisive battle against the epidemic.

Since late January, Shisi Pharmaceutical has urgently dispatched a total of 3.962 million capsules of arbidol hydrochloride and 370,000 vials (bags) of therapeutic infusion products, including moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium chloride injection, to Hubei Province, thereby making a significant contribution by ensuring the timely supply of essential medicines to frontline epidemic prevention and control efforts.

Shi Jianhui stated that the pandemic has not impeded the company’s development. To effectively balance epidemic prevention and control with the resumption of work and production, Shisi Pharmaceutical has adopted a multi-pronged approach, including stringent infection-control measures, scientifically optimized production scheduling, robust logistics support, accelerated drug R&D, and ongoing project construction, ensuring that both epidemic prevention and business growth proceed in tandem. At present, all aspects of Shisi Pharmaceutical’s production and operations are proceeding smoothly and in an orderly manner.
