With the conclusion of the 13th Five-Year Plan just around the corner, the new journey under the 14th Five-Year Plan is about to fully commence. We now find ourselves in a historic window of opportunity and a period of strategic advantage, while also facing a critical phase of transformation, upgrading, and overcoming obstacles. The tasks of reform and development have become even more arduous and demanding, making it all the more crucial to get off to a strong start.
“Those who set their sights on no easy goals will achieve success; those who shun no difficult tasks will make progress.” As we embark on this new journey and continue to strive forward, we must dare to take on the toughest challenges and confront problems head-on. At present, both the evolution of the pandemic and the external environment are fraught with considerable uncertainty, and next year’s economic outlook remains complex and daunting. On the domestic front, our industrial chains are still unevenly and insufficiently developed, and our product mix urgently needs upgrading… In short, every step we take in the future will be a steep climb.
