The notice points out that 2021 marks the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Launching a campaign to study the history of the Party throughout the Party is a major decision made by the CPC Central Committee at this new historical starting point of the Party’s century-long journey, in light of the overarching strategic plan for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the unprecedented global changes unfolding over the past century, with the aim of rallying the entire Party and the whole country to embark with full confidence on the comprehensive building of a modern socialist country. General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the mobilization conference for the study of Party history was visionary, far-reaching, and profoundly insightful; it thoroughly expounded the profound significance of launching this campaign, clearly outlined its key priorities and work requirements, and provided a comprehensive mobilization and deployment for the initiative, thereby charting the course and providing the fundamental guiding principles for the Group to carry out the study of Party history effectively.
The notice emphasizes that all levels of the Group must thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech, conscientiously carry out the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the work requirements of higher-level Party organizations, and steadily advance all tasks related to the study and education on Party history. The goal is to educate and guide the broad ranks of Party members and cadres within the Group to study Party history, gain insight into its guiding principles, deliver practical results, and open up new prospects; to highlight the distinctive characteristics of the enterprise; to integrate learning with application; to ensure that the benefits of such efforts contribute to innovative development; and to underscore a sense of responsibility and proactive action. In this way, we will ensure that our study of Party history leads to a clearer understanding of its principles, stronger confidence in its guidance, greater reverence for its moral values, and more vigorous efforts to put its lessons into practice. We will further strengthen our “four consciousnesses,” consolidate our “four confidences,” and uphold the “two safeguards,” continuously enhancing our political discernment, political comprehension, and political execution. With high morale, we will energetically embark on the new journey outlined in the 14th Five-Year Plan and achieve outstanding results in celebrating the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
