On March 5, Yang Jingxiang, Party Secretary and Director of the Hebei Provincial Bureau of Statistics, conducted field visits to Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and other enterprises to review their economic performance and statistical work.
Yang Jingxiang conducted a field inspection at the company, listened to a briefing on its business operations, and asked in detail about the company’s personnel management, material supply, production and transportation, market demand, capacity recovery, and specific measures for epidemic prevention and control during the pandemic, as well as the difficulties and challenges it faces in resuming work and production. He also gained an in-depth understanding of the company’s product R&D, production processes, and innovation achievements, and engaged in discussions with the company’s leadership to analyze the extent to which the pandemic has impacted its operations.
Yang Jingxiang pointed out that, as the provincial capital, Shijiazhuang holds a pivotal position throughout the province. At the beginning of this year, in the face of the sudden COVID-19 outbreak, the people of Shijiazhuang, under the strong leadership of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, fought day and night with unwavering unity and concerted effort, sparing no effort to secure a decisive victory in the battle against the epidemic, thereby making outstanding contributions to the province’s all-out efforts to achieve “dual victories” in both epidemic control and economic and social development.
Yang Jingxiang stated that the CPC Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee and the Shijiazhuang Municipal People’s Government have, over the years, consistently attached great importance to and shown deep concern for statistical work, resulting in substantial achievements. He expressed the hope that Shijiazhuang will continue to strive for excellence, taking the lead and setting an example in such areas as modernizing statistical reform, strengthening statistical oversight, enhancing data quality, and elevating the level of statistical services, thereby providing robust statistical support for economic and social development, ensuring a strong start to the 14th Five-Year Plan period, making greater contributions to the comprehensive building of a strong economy and a beautiful Hebei in the new era, and celebrating the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with outstanding results.
During the research visit, Ma Yujun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee and Mayor of Shijiazhuang, met with Director Yang Jingxiang and his delegation. He expressed gratitude for the Provincial Bureau of Statistics’ longstanding attention to and support for Shijiazhuang’s economic and social development, and voiced the hope that the bureau would continue to provide guidance and assistance to help Shijiazhuang elevate all its work to a new level.
Gao Yuzhu, Vice Mayor of Shijiazhuang City; Zhou Lixin, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the High-tech Industrial Development Zone; Su Zhichao, Secretary-General of the Municipal Government; Jin Fuzhong, Director of the Municipal Bureau of Statistics; and relevant officials from the Municipal Bureau of Statistics accompanied the inspection. Leading officials from the Office, the Industrial Division, and the Investment Division of the Provincial Bureau of Statistics also participated in the inspection.
