Xia Guolong Awarded the Hebei Province May Day Labor Medal

Recently, the Hebei Provincial Federation of Trade Unions issued the “Decision on Conferment of the Hebei May Day Labor Medal on Comrades Including Yin Chao and on Designation of the Fang Fengjun Innovation Studio and Other Collectives as Hebei Provincial Model Worker Units,” under which Xia Guolong, Deputy General Manager (Vice President) and Senior Engineer at the R&D Center (Drug Research Institute) of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, was awarded the honorary title of Hebei May Day Labor Medal.
Over the past 15 years, Xia Guolong has dedicated himself to pharmaceutical research and development, demonstrating a relentless work ethic and a willingness to embrace solitude in pursuit of innovation. His pioneering spirit and bold approach to exploration have yielded remarkable achievements: the R&D project “Development of a New Production Process for Ambroxol Hydrochloride Sodium Chloride Injection” was awarded the Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Achievement Award, while “Key Technological Development and Industrialization of Bromhexine Hydrochloride Glucose Injection” received the Third Prize of the Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Award. In 2016, he was recognized as a third-tier candidate under the Hebei Province “333 Talent Program.”
In 2020, at the Hebei Provincial Federation of Trade Unions’ Joint Event for the Exchange of Outstanding Employee Technological Innovation Achievements and the Employee Innovation Competition—organized in collaboration with the Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and the Hebei Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security—the project “Development of Key Technologies for Vertical Polypropylene Infusion Bags and Their Industrialization,” led by Xia Guolong, was awarded the Second Prize for Outstanding Employee Technological Innovation Achievements in Hebei Province.
In accordance with the relevant guiding principles and the pertinent provisions of the Measures for the Selection and Administration of the Hebei Provincial May Day Labor Awards, including the May Day Labor Certificate, the May Day Labor Medal, and the Hebei Provincial Model Worker Vanguard Title, and following deliberation at a meeting of the Presidium of the Hebei Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, it has been decided to confer the honorary titles of “Hebei Provincial May Day Labor Medal” on 46 individuals and “Hebei Provincial Model Worker Vanguard Title” on 59 collectives that meet the eligibility criteria for these awards.
The Provincial Federation of Trade Unions’ Decision calls on the individuals and collectives honored with awards to cherish their recognition, remain humble and steady, stay true to their original aspirations, and forge ahead; to carry forward the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship; and to courageously serve as pioneers, trailblazers, and dedicated contributors who lead the times. It urges all workers across the province to keep pace with the times and with economic and social development, to excel in their respective posts with dedication and professionalism, to study diligently and perform their duties conscientiously, and to strive to be vanguards in driving Hebei’s high-quality development—thus demonstrating the new achievements of the working class in the new era as we embark on a new journey to build Hebei into a strong, prosperous, and beautiful province.
