Recently, the “Pharmaceutical Quality Traceability Platform Based on the Industrial Internet” project of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was designated by the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology as the first of 50 pilot demonstration projects for innovative development of the industrial internet in 2021.
Recently, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.’s “Pharmaceutical Quality Traceability Platform Based on the Industrial Internet” project was designated by the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology as the first of 50 pilot demonstration projects for innovative development of the industrial internet in 2021, marking Shijiazhuang Sihua’s leading position in the province’s pharmaceutical industry in terms of the deep integration of the internet with advanced manufacturing.
The Pilot and Demonstration Projects for Innovative Development of the Industrial Internet are designed to thoroughly implement the spirit of the State Council’s “Guiding Opinions on Deepening the Development of the Industrial Internet through ‘Internet Plus Advanced Manufacturing,’” and to ensure the effective implementation of our province’s “Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Deep Integration of the Internet with Advanced Manufacturing and Accelerating the Development of the Industrial Internet.” These projects focus on the innovation and demonstration application of new technologies, new models, and new business forms in the industrial internet. A batch of pilot and demonstration projects—with strong development foundations, superior innovative models, and significant promotional value—have been reviewed and selected. By adopting a strategy of piloting first and using demonstrations to lead the way, these initiatives aim to explore and establish replicable and scalable new models and business forms, thereby advancing the innovative development of the industrial internet and facilitating the transformation and upgrading of industry. The selection of these pilot and demonstration projects is conducted through a process that includes voluntary applications by enterprises, review and recommendation by municipal bureaus of industry and information technology, and expert evaluation and deliberation organized by the provincial department.
“The ‘Pharmaceutical Quality Traceability Platform Based on the Industrial Internet’ developed by Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is built within the framework of the company’s overall IT infrastructure, leveraging industrial internet technologies to create an intelligent quality-tracking and control system that covers the entire pharmaceutical value chain—from production and quality inspection to warehousing, transportation, and sales,” said a representative of Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical. “By deploying subsystems such as the Laboratory Information Management System and Laboratory Execution System (LIMS&LES), the Warehouse Management System (WMS), and the Supply Chain Management System (SFMS), and by seamlessly integrating production data from the ERP system, the platform automatically captures key data at every stage related to product quality, establishes a feedback loop, and builds an intelligent allocation, traceability, and smart decision-making hub. This enables seamless coordination among the company’s quality assurance, quality control, logistics, and end-customer departments, thereby comprehensively enhancing the overall performance of the smart factory’s quality management and traceability modules. As a result, the industrial internet is deeply integrated with advanced manufacturing, driving the company’s transformation and upgrading.”
