【SUMMARY】 On the afternoon of July 23, the Party Committee of the company convened an expanded meeting to make arrangements for the thematic education campaign on “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind.” Members of the Party Committee, members of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, and secretaries of all branch committees jointly studied and thoroughly understood the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the work conference on this thematic education.

　　　　　　　　On the afternoon of July 23, the Party Committee of the company convened an expanded meeting to make arrangements for the “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind” thematic education campaign. Members of the Party Committee, members of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, and secretaries of all branch committees jointly studied and thoroughly understood the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the work conference on this thematic education. They also conducted focused study and discussion on comprehensively implementing General Secretary Xi’s important instructions on strengthening Party building in non-public enterprises, further enhancing the development of model sites for Party building in such enterprises, and promoting the healthy development of enterprises. The meeting was chaired by Shi Jianhui, Secretary of the Company’s Party Committee.

The meeting began by studying and conveying the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the work conference on the thematic education campaign titled “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind.” The meeting noted that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 70th year since our Party assumed power; under these circumstances, launching the thematic education campaign on “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind” is both timely and appropriate. All Party organizations at every level within the company, as well as the broad ranks of Party members and cadres, must study diligently, gain a profound understanding, and earnestly enhance their ideological and practical consciousness, so as to ensure that the thematic education campaign is carried out in a solid and effective manner.

The meeting called on all Party members of the company to gain a profound understanding of the significant importance of the thematic education campaign, to carry forward revolutionary traditions and fine work styles, and to integrate the original aspiration and mission of Communists with the company’s transformation and upgrading, high-quality development, and fulfillment of social responsibility. They are urged to uphold the spirit of struggle and a sense of responsibility, deliver new achievements in advancing the enterprise’s high-quality development, achieve new breakthroughs in facilitating the transition from old to new growth drivers, and unite and lead the broad workforce in striving to turn the grand blueprint outlined at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China into a beautiful reality within the enterprise.

The meeting emphasized the need to keep firmly in mind the original aspiration and mission of Chinese Communists—to strive for the happiness of the Chinese people and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation—adhere to a pragmatic and truth-seeking approach, and, in accordance with General Secretary Xi Jinping’s overarching requirements of “staying true to our original aspiration, shouldering our mission, identifying gaps, and ensuring effective implementation,” ensure high quality and stringent standards as we steadily and systematically advance all aspects of the thematic education campaign. Specifically, for our enterprise, “staying true to our original aspiration” means always bearing in mind the fundamental principle of serving the people wholeheartedly, proactively working to enhance the well-being of our employees, and fulfilling our social responsibilities through high-quality products, superior services, and concrete actions in green pharmaceutical production; “shouldering our mission” entails courageously assuming responsibility, taking proactive and decisive action, maintaining a fighting spirit, and, with unwavering determination and selfless dedication, overcoming all difficulties and obstacles on the path forward to drive the enterprise’s innovative, green, and high-quality development; “identifying gaps” requires every Party member to benchmark against Party discipline and rules, continuously strengthen the “four consciousnesses,” firmly uphold the “four confidences,” and resolutely safeguard the “two establishments,” while also comparing themselves with role models to pinpoint their own shortcomings, holding themselves to the highest standards befitting Party members, and constantly improving their ideological stance and professional capabilities; and “ensuring effective implementation” means, from the standpoint of promoting socio-economic development, that Party members take the lead in setting an example and striving for progress in all areas of work, transforming their original aspiration and mission into the vigorous spirit of relentless pursuit and pioneering innovation as well as the conscious commitment to hard work and practical action, so that every Party member becomes a vital contributor to consolidating the ruling foundation of our Party.

The meeting emphasized the need to continuously enhance our ideological understanding of the importance of Party building in non-public enterprises and to regard Party building as a fundamental responsibility. The growth and development of non-public enterprises are inseparable from the leadership of the Party and from the guidance and safeguards provided by Party building. Within enterprises, we must make unequivocal political commitment the primary prerequisite for promoting high-quality development. We must remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind; strengthen our “four consciousnesses” and bolster our “four confidences”; resolutely uphold and defend General Secretary Xi Jinping’s core position; and steadfastly safeguard the authority of the Party Central Committee and its centralized, unified leadership. We must take firm hold of Party building in non-public enterprises, keep it constantly at the forefront of our minds, translate it into concrete actions, reinforce our sense of mission and responsibility, and solidify the ideological foundation for striving to accomplish tasks and start businesses. In conjunction with enterprise management, scientific research and innovation, project construction, market development, and other areas, we must thoroughly implement the principal responsibility for Party building in light of actual conditions, using a sound Party style to shape our image, win the support of the people, and drive development.

The meeting also reviewed matters related to the adjustment of branch organizational structure and the proposed candidates for Party membership in 2019.
