On the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the “Youth Hearts to the Party—Making Contributions in the New Era” speech competition showcase was held at the Qiushi Theater of Shijiazhuang No. 2 Middle School. Wang Shaohua, a member of the Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and head of the Publicity Department, attended the event and presented awards to the winners. Chen Jing, representing our company, advanced to the final round with her speech titled “Stay True to Our Original Aspiration and Follow the Party—Youthful Contributions in the New Era,” where she was awarded third prize.

More than 500 League members and young people from various fields listened to presentations on topics such as “Rooted in Our Heritage, Steeped in Our Soul—A More Beautiful Youth,” “Stay True to Our Original Aspiration and Follow the Party—Building a New Era with Our Youth,” and “Young People with Ambition, Wholeheartedly Devoted to the Party.” The contestants’ outstanding speeches earned round after round of applause from the audience.

The “Youth Hearts Turn to the Party: Making Contributions in the New Era” speech contest attracted active participation from 103 grassroots CYL organizations, with more than 3,000 young people from all sectors of society taking part. Following multiple rounds of selection, 106 contestants—representing front-line workplaces, enterprises and public institutions, and educational institutions—advanced to the finals of the Shijiazhuang City “Youth Hearts Turn to the Party: Making Contributions in the New Era” speech contest held on June 23, where they competed for three first prizes, five second prizes, 15 third prizes, 65 excellence awards, and 15 outstanding organization awards. This competition has inspired a strong sense of patriotism among young people, reinforced their ideals and convictions, and strengthened their resolve to study diligently, dedicate themselves to their jobs, strive hard, and contribute through concrete actions to building a modern provincial capital and a prosperous, economically strong city.
