On November 18, Long Fujie, Party Secretary and Director of the Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology, visited the Shijiazhuang High-tech Industrial Development Zone to conduct field research and presided over a symposium, during which he heard briefings on the technological innovation efforts of the zone and key resident enterprises such as Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical. Relevant officials from the Shijiazhuang Municipal Government and the Shijiazhuang High-tech Industrial Development Zone also attended the visit and symposium.
After conducting on-site visits and surveys of R&D activities, incubator development, and the cultivation, R&D, and operations of enterprises within the park, Long Fujie chaired a symposium. Relevant officials from the Shijiazhuang High-tech Industrial Development Zone reported on the zone’s development and construction progress, while key executives from resident leading enterprises, including Su Xuejun, Chairman of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., presented updates on their companies’ production, operations, and technological innovation efforts. Long Fujie commended the significant achievements made by the zone’s key resident enterprises in strengthening scientific and technological innovation.
Long Fujie emphasized that the High-tech Zone must steadfastly uphold Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as its guiding principle, accelerate innovation-driven development, establish robust innovation platforms, support enterprises in pursuing independent innovation, strengthen the cultivation of science and technology talent, and focus on enhancing the region’s capacity for scientific and technological innovation. All provincial science and technology authorities are urged to conscientiously implement the important decisions and arrangements made by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, fully leverage the pivotal role of enterprises as the main actors in innovation, stimulate the innovative vitality of talented individuals, wage decisive battles to master critical core technologies, improve the efficiency of transforming scientific and technological achievements into practical applications and industrialization, strengthen services and safeguards for scientific and technological innovation, refine and concretize task assignments, and propel the building of an innovation-driven Hebei to a new high.
