Time waits for no one, and heaven rewards diligence; history will remember 2021 as a year that both carried forward the past and ushered in the future. Amid a complex situation and challenging market environment, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical met the challenges with unwavering resolve and seized opportunities through relentless effort, inscribing bold, decisive strokes on the答卷 of development and leaving an indelible mark on the Group’s journey toward high-quality growth.
Over the past year, we tackled tough challenges and pressed forward with determination, achieving record-high performance across all key business metrics. The Group’s intravenous solution business maintained steady growth in both production and sales; ampoule products are now being produced and sold on a growing scale; the solid dosage-form segment also posted steady progress in production and sales, while our market influence has expanded nationwide. Meanwhile, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical and Guolong Pharmaceutical have further highlighted their competitive advantages in output, quality, and cost efficiency, and Jiangsu Bosheng has strengthened its capability to provide complementary products that seamlessly integrate with downstream segments of the value chain.
This year, we embraced change and seized the momentum to drive innovation, with remarkable results emerging from our innovative efforts. Our sustained investment in innovation has yielded tangible outcomes: we secured a total of 32 national product approvals and submitted 72 applications for various product approvals, gradually establishing a systematic, phased approach to industrial development that emphasizes “conducting a batch of R&D projects, translating a batch into commercial products, and building a pipeline of future innovations.” Notably, we achieved significant progress in bioequivalence evaluations, with four product specifications—ciprofloxacin lactate sodium chloride injection, fluconazole sodium chloride injection, metronidazole sodium chloride injection, and another formulation—being among the first in the industry to pass such evaluations. At the same time, we advanced intellectual property protection in tandem, with the Group filing a cumulative total of 286 patent applications and securing 167 grants, including 67 Chinese invention patents and 5 international invention patents. Furthermore, the Group successfully passed the re-evaluation as a National Model Enterprise for Technological Innovation and was selected as a pilot enterprise for the integrated development of advanced manufacturing and modern services at the national level. Guangxiang Pharmaceutical and Guolong Pharmaceutical were both recognized as Specialized, Sophisticated, and Novel SMEs in Hebei Province and as Provincial Demonstration Enterprises for Specialization, Sophistication, and Novelty.
Over the past year, we have pursued steady and pragmatic progress through a multi-pronged approach, ensuring that project construction has been both robust and well-organized. Fifteen new-product industrialization and technological-upgrade projects—covering lyophilized powder for injection, emulsions, and other product categories—have been selected as part of Hebei Province’s “Thousand Technological-Upgrade Projects.” With the support of business-friendly policies at all levels, the implementation of key technological-upgrade projects has accelerated and is already yielding initial results. Meanwhile, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical and Guolong Pharmaceutical have leveraged technological upgrades to unlock greater potential, intensifying efforts to optimize production processes and upgrade equipment and environmental protection systems, thereby significantly enhancing their supply capacity and quality.
This year, we rigorously enforced accountability and strengthened quality control, resulting in a significant improvement in production quality. In the face of stringent regulatory requirements stemming from national centralized procurement and the ongoing normalization of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Group launched an in-depth “Quality Month” campaign to comprehensively enhance the role of quality in safeguarding market performance. As a result, both the Group and Guangxiang Pharmaceutical were recognized as provincial-level benchmarks for industrial enterprise quality in 2021.
This year, we strengthened our ideological and political foundation and united the hearts and minds of our workforce, continuously enhancing the leading role of Party building. As part of a series of thematic activities celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, we carried out in-depth publicity and education campaigns under the theme “Carrying Forward the Red Legacy to Uphold Our Original Aspiration, with the Party Flag Flying on the Front Lines,” inspiring Party members and employees to embrace the commitment to “work for the Party, shoulder responsibilities for the country, and dedicate themselves to their posts.” These efforts have helped drive breakthroughs in R&D, market expansion, production capacity, and technological innovation. On the eve of July 1, the Party Committee of Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical was awarded the title of “Advanced Grassroots Party Organization” by the CPC Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee.
